Teaching Bereaved Parents
Mobile Unit begins course at Yad Labanim in Jerusalem
The Mobile Computer Unit (MCU) staff has begun teaching a course at Yad Labanim- the organization for bereaved parents of fallen IDF soldiers. The basic skills course is being taught to sixteen adults, some of whom are over the age of seventy.
After the first class, one of the women in the course asked Oren Heller, the instructor, if she could say a few words. "I was nervous about joining this course. You were so patient and explained everything so well that I can't wait for the next class." During the class, Alisa Holzman and Nikki Levitan of myisrael visited the course to learn more about the MCU.
Yad Labanim offers bereaved parents a wide range of activities meant to assist them in returning to their regular routine- outings, classes, get togethers and more. This computer course, for people who have made the greatest sacrifice in defense of the State of Israel, is the first joint project between Machshava Tova and Yad Labanim and we look forward to more in the future.
